About Me

From the time I was eight years old, I always wanted to be a teacher.  I loved mathematics, so why not a Math teacher?  I did. Then when there was a change of licenses for Distributive Education (DE) the United Federation of Teachers under the direction of Albert Shanker, my hero, asked for licensed mathematics teachers to train DE teachers. I did. While I was there the DE teachers raved about an Alice Farkouh, as a classroom teacher.  Then I decided to become an Assistant Principal of Mathematics in High School. I did. Then as time went by, I decided to become a Principal of one of the largest high schools in NYC.  I did. It was then that a wonderful principal who was my mentor encouraged me to apply to Teachers College, Columbia University for an educational doctorate.  I did.  At retirement, I was encouraged to apply for an Independent School, followed by another one, then a parochial school. I did.  At retirement from the parochial school, I wanted to open a consulting business. I did.

Now, it is time to take my experiences as an educator and encourage educators, parents, and students about the skills of my educational experiences.  I did.  If you want to know how to make young people be bonded to a school (called school membership), how to convince students that they CAN LEARN,  how to evaluate principals, assistant principals, and teachers, how to raise the population of failing schools, and how to help students LEARN, then contact ABCF Consultants, LLC today.
